Aperçu des taches et activités
ILa fabrication de nos produits exige une grande variété de matériaux, ressources, machines et employés. Le matériel de production est acheté, trié et administré, de la publicité pour les produits est organisée, et ceux ci sont vendus.
Bachelor of Engineering (B.eng.) DHBW
Even though mechanical engineering is considered one of the oldest technical fields of study, it has hitherto lost none of its attraction; moreover: The trend towards cooperation in international teams finds just as much special interest as the high proportion of courses with computer applications for the purpose of construction, calculation, product optimisation, process control, simulation and so forth.
The cooperatively organised study of mechanical engineering begins with the first practical phase in October in which the basic skills of metal shaping are taught. The following first theoretical phase at the Duale Hochschule Baden-Württemberg (DHBW) (a.k.a. Baden-Wuerttemberg Cooperative State University) provides instruction on the basic knowledge of the traditional engineering subjects. The further practical phases teach the manufacturing and business production processes of the company as well as the development construction and process optimisation. The knowledge thus gained is studied in depth and expanded at the DHBW.
In each practical phase, a field report has to be compiled that includes a scientific documentation about one or several topics. Additionally, a research project has to be done in the 3rd year of study. This provides the students with the possibility of deepening their knowledge in special topic fields and to collect project experience. In conclusion, the bachelor's thesis is written in the 6th practical phase, which includes the scientific study of a practical topic.
Sound technical knowledge in mathematics as well as in basic applied and natural sciences remain the fundamental pillars of engineering qualifications in mechanical engineering. Additionally, the requirements such as interdisciplinary skills as well as social experiences and also foreign languages have become increasingly important.
Automation in construction and production is moving more into the foreground of this occupational profile. The same is valid for long-range planning tasks (project management). The mechanical engineering graduate today also needs to know the economic aspects of his work and must be able to find, in close cooperation, optimal solutions for the problems of the customer. Due to the flattened hierarchies in management, the mechanical engineer is increasingly integrated into tasks concerning human resources and management. Today's mechanical engineers are no longer exclusively developers, constructors or production technicians, but managers as well.
Computers find broad application in mechanical engineering as tools as well as for communication support (from groupware to Internet). It is also an imperative to use them effectively.
The advantages of the cooperative study are:
- Brief study duration (6 semester / 3 years)
- Optimal linking of theory and praxis
- Attractive for the job market (the graduate is able to accept complicated tasks in the company right after completing the education)
- Financial independence (monthly pay from the company)
